BAO City, 2024 is a melodrama set in a bustling new restaurant where four groups of strangers’ lives briefly intertwine. An elderly couple reconnects over noodles on their first date. A heartbroken teen finds solace in singing love songs with childhood friends. A lonely man waits for his perfect karaoke moment at his regular table 42 but is interrupted by a group of rowdy coworkers. Through these fleeting encounters, the film explores connection, heartbreak, and the unexpected ways people cross paths in the city.
