Rory McKellar

A long term passion for automotive has now become the focus of Rory’s commercial work.

Since graduating from University of Westminster film school Rory has had over twenty years of professional experience spanning the Television, Commercial and Film industries.

Rory has an extensive factual background, having worked with the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, NBC, HBO and Discovery. His work has taken him to over 52 countries spanning continents including Arabia, The Far East, Indo-China, North and South Africa, the polar Circle and the Americas.

The commercial industry has been his home for the past 10 years in which he has spearheaded campaigns directing for the likes of Range Rover, Jaguar, Suzuki, Hyundai, Sony, Pepsi. He’s picked up awards and recognition along the way, including Marketing Excellence Award in 2013, Viral Director of the year by ADWEEK 2015, Creative Circle 2015, Cannes Lion Bronze 2016 and a Creative Circle award in 2018.

Rory’s gained recognition in the film industry for his shorts films with official selection at the BFI London Film Festival, 54th Film Festival, The International Film Festival Dhaka and winning the Hollywood International Moving Picture Film Festival 2016 for Best Director. Rory currently has two feature films in production, a Russian Sci-Fi in post production and a Sri Lankan Post Colonial drama based on real events awaiting principle photography.
