Kode Red: the creative studio

Huse Monfaradi

Known for his honest, intimate, documentary style and his iconic body of work, Huse began his career when handed a camera whilst on an internship at MTV during the peak of their relevance.

He has directed some of the biggest names in music, including videos for Snow Patrol, Arctic Monkeys and the infamous Eric Prydz ‘Call On Me’. Commercials have included spots for Coca-Cola, Boots, Cadburys and Samsung with the latter winning him a British Arrow Craft Award for Best New Director.

He’s also directed campaign spots for the BBC’s Hackney Weekend and Glastonbury coverage, featuring a range of high profile celebrities, as well as Playstation 4’s launch with Tinie Tempah, Mastercard content with Pharrell Williams and Kylie Minogue and stunning live pieces for Paolo Nutini’s “Iron Sky” at Abbey Road Studios and Michael Kiwanuka’s “Love & Hate”.

His first feature film, a documentary about DJ and Producer David Guetta was screened in cinemas worldwide and funded by Coca-Cola. Huse’s campaign for YouTube saw him travel across the world, shooting four spots as well as a documentary film for the brand.

In 2017 Huse’s video for Arctic Monkeys’ “Brianstorm” was entered into the BFI’s film archive as one of the most significant British music videos of all time.

Following on from the success of his documentary short film “A Life Like Water”, which was picked up by Vimeo and Nowness and screened on the film festival circuit, Huse has gone on to shoot videos for Louis Tomlinson, formerly of One Direction, content for Sony Music with David Bowie’s lifelong friend and collaborator Tony Visconti, as well as continuing his collaboration with Michael Kiwanuka on a bespoke live show shot at London’s Mildmay Club.

This year sees the release of Huse's first dramatic short film “Brothers”, which he wrote, produced and directed, currently in postproduction.
